Tuesday Photoblog. Fruitful, feet-aching day....

Had lunch at Sun with Moon Jap restaurant (Wheelock, Orchard)... with Aunty May Ling - who happens to be Natalie's mum. It was a joyful occasion for me - to meet up with someone who has so greatly blessed me and provided for my seminary studies. Before this, I've only seen her in pictures and corresponded through emails. Today, I finally met her in person! :) You have no idea how thankful I was for such an opportunity. She's indeed a beautiful woman with laughing eyes! I didn't even feel the least intimidated.I really should have taken more pictures, but I was too fascinated with all the interesting things she had to tell me. I truly admire and am touched at her passion for God and still, her dependence on Him for everything. Indeed, I aspire to be a woman like her - when I grow up.
After lunch was over, I took an MRT to City Hall by myself...and took a long walk along Upper (or isit North) Bridge Road. Discovered St. Andrews' Church...
Zipped through the Adelphi Lifestyle Mall because it was so hot in the sun...

Strolled past the Singapore Parliament...

And then, arriving at the Singapore River, I was mesmerized at the beautiful sky-scrapers fringing the scene... and then I spotted this...
A boat! Specifically the River Cruise...You spend 30 minutes on the boat, and they take you on a ride down the Singapore River and show you some famous Singapore landmarks...

Cautiously made my way through the lane parallel to the river. Struck by the number of seafood restaurants lined up along the lane!
Suddenly I discovered that I was at Clarke Quay!

I really liked the buildings in Clarke Quay...they just made me feel like I was back in Europe, somehow...

...This so reminds me of Dublin! Mulligan's Pub and Restaurant! I miss Dublin!!!

Then, I decided that I would go on the Rivercruise!

Wowww...so syiok!

This is supposed to be one of Singapore's very first hotels with elevators...
The place with many seafood restaurants - which I mentioned above...

Fullerton Hotel - one of the oldest hotels in Singapore. This building used to be a hospital in World War II. The suspension bridge links Fullerton to the Asian Cultural Museum, where Ewan and Laura held their wedding ceremony + reception...

Strange architectural structures in the distance...
...and the Merlion appeared... (Ah, I can now safely say that I have seen 'him' with my own eyes - and not through pictures! :P)
All the expensive hotels...
Enjoying myself thoroughly...Who says that it's boring to do things alone? But having said that, I miss Ben...and I wish that he were here...
The famous Esplanade...
A closer look at the Merlion...

The Esplanade again...
Asian Cultural Museum

The high court I think...the building with a satellite-looking thingy on top.
I can't remember what you call the colourful building...

After my Rivercruise was over, I continued my look-see around Clarke Quay area.

Inside the Clarke Quay Central Mall.

Decided to go for Coffee and rest my feet...@ The Coffee Connoisseur.
Removed the badge they made me wear on the Rivercruise
My hazelnut Nutella milkshake... very, very satisfying... I'll probably not drink such gourmet stuff when I return to Penang. Might as well savour the moment!
