Tuesday

I am surrounded by a paraphernalia of bags...

Trying to decide what to pack for my Singapore trip...and what to leave out (and give myself an excuse to shop when I arrive in the Land of the Merlion!)

Today's been a great day. Thank God. I've been grinning, talking and eating so much that my face muscles must have had the best workout ever... :) Here's to nice, tight cheeks...

...and then like icing on cake, my day ended with my usual telephone conversation with Ben. I miss him. But, I'm just so glad and thankful for technology for times such as this. Phones, emails and such make the distance a little more bearable. :P If it keeps up this well when Ben goes to the States, that one-and-a-half-month will fly past like a breeze... Hehe. I hope. How can it not, when I am going to be equally busy with my STCM intensives?

Today, my dad and I ate dinner at an eatery - which brought me alot of memories of my E.D days, when I used to frequently kick up a horrible fuss - because 1. my parents made me eat food I didn't want to eat and 2. it was agony looking through a menu filled with all the wonderful-sounding dishes I badly wanted to try but was too afraid to. I remember the tears, unfounded fears, crazy rituals (for example, I used to sniff my food to see if there was butter in it - and if I sniffed out any, I'd be super resentful - and then I'd cry... because I felt like I had been tricked into eating stuff that supposedly could fatten me up) and the grilled fish I always ordered... Today, I ate with much gladness and thankfulness. I do wish that my mum could see me now. She'd be thankful too.

I look forward to meet up with Ji, Laura, Ewan, alot of people from the Tabernacle of Praise, Sophia and Aunty May Ling in the next few days. I look forward to sleepovers with my closest sisters and being geeky without embarrassment like the old times. Let's also hope that with all the walking and cycling I am gonna do, I will be able to eat loads of yummy food when I am in Singapore! :D (Secretly looking forward to the shopping too - even though it's going to be mostly window-shopping.)
