Happy birthday, Uncle Wong!:)Since there are so many birthdays and makan-ing events this week, it's my perfect excuse to put on some weight!:P And yes. I cannot be blamed. Hehe!
We ate at Ananda Bahwan this evening... just the 5 of us... to celebrate his birthday. My breath now reeks of onions and garlic! Eeeeks.
I felt that it was rather like a thanksgiving dinner more than anything else, to celebrate the God's faithfulness. If it wasn't for His protection upon Uncle Wong the other day - in that dreadful car-motorbike highway accident one month ago - we wouldn't be celebrating his birthday this year. (Uncle Wong's brother died in the same kind of accident many years ago.) And yet, today Uncle Wong is alive and well! No broken bones. No skull, pelvic girdle or cervical fractures. No neurological deficits. What a miracle! Lord, thank You!
Uncle and Aunty Wong have been desiring and hungering to know God eversince that incident. They are currently attending the Hokkien service at Wesley's and enjoying foundation classes! @_@ How amazing is that! I truly think the Lord allowed this to happen for a reason.
