What I've been doing for the past few days, upon returning from a Sandakan...
Eating, eating and eating...and paying sleep-debt - amongst many other things.I have not been sleeping very well in the past few weeks, prior to and during mission-trip due to various reasons. There were days when I went to sleep really late, due to assignments and MT prep (of course, I'm not feeling sorry for myself when I say this - I really had fun, even though I was stressed). There were days when I went to sleep feeling very worried about stuff and people. There were days when I just couldn't fall asleep because there were too many things on my mind. There were days when I had strange, awkward dreams which woke me up, feeling like I had not really slept. Then throughout my mission trip, I was either waking up very early to use the bathrooms (good, cold showers in the morning are therapeutic... I was kiasu to use the bathrooms before anyone else did - Needed some time alone in the shower :P) OR being woken up very early by dear people who wanted to use the bathrooms and did not want to go alone @_@'. Hehe. Not forgetting the nocturnal bugs and animals in Kg. Paris that made lots of noises while we were sleeping...
...Reminds me of something hilarious. The roosters in the kampung crow majestically at about 5am plus every morning in Kg. Paris... like alarm clocks which you can't snooze. *gulpppp* Then, just as if that wasn't quite enough, their crowing would be followed by the dogs giving their version of morning-call *howl......wrruffff, wruffff*. Not snoozable either. It just went on and on and on. After a few nights of sleeping on uneven wooden-planks (some of us without sleeping bags) and being woken up by the morning hullabaloo, I must say that I'm reacting much better to my snoozable alarm clock now.... NOT!!!! :D Not, not, not, not...The wooden planks we slept onWhat was down below... You can see 'em through the cracks in between the boards...I didn't dare look through the cracks after night fell, just in case I saw some unknown animal staring back at me...Slept on a bed-sheet my first night in Kg. Paris... It was freezing cold. Joseph very kindly gave up his sleeping-bag for my bed-sheet the 2nd night. Talk about chivalry.
It's been a very happy few days, I can tell you! :P Today I stepped on the scales and found that I had gained 2 kg's upon returning to Penang. *Eeeeks...faints*
It's ok la. Boyfriend doesn't think I am fat, regardless :P Wah, jia you, Grace!
To my dearest jie, Laura - happy one-day belated birthday! Love you loads!!!
I miss my sisters... If only somebody could sponsor me a trip to Singapore! :D
To KRL, yes, I'm better now, thank you :) Still under medical observation though.
Maybe making a trip to the hair saloon today to do some snip-snipping to my now very shapeless hair...
