Upcoming mission trip

When the people at MBTS told me to choose between going to Acheh and Sandakan for mission trip in August the other day, (actually they at first told me that I didn't have a choice - I had to go to Acheh. But then funnily enough, later, they realized that they had a place for Sandakan - and I was offered that option) I picked Sandakan, not knowing what I was supposed to be doing there... Just thought, whatever the Lord puts me in ler. Forgot about it, kinda - till today.

Was talking to Ben this evening about a particular global situation I was very angry about (I don't mean the swine flu), and the burden I feel to do something about it.

I mean, I've had a very specific ministry upon my heart for the longest time. Been a little out of touch with that for quite a while - till recently - when I had to decide on what I want to major in for M.Div. I sorta made a decision. This afternoon, I unintentionally read one most amazing book ever - which I stumbled upon at Border's Bookstore, and had a strange urgency (desperation almost) to buy...which was weird, because I don't usually buy books just like that. Anyway, God used it marvellously to remind me of what He's purposed me to do from the beginning, that long-put-aside dream, purpose and passion - and therefore it affirmed my decision with regards to my major.

Then after talking to Ben about it, I checked my email... and guess what? I had received an email regarding the ministry we would be mainly involved in Sandakan. And Ta-Da!!! It was THE ministry:P So, it was confirmation number 2.

I love how God really leads when we seek Him earnestly about it. Indeed, he who lacks wisdom can ask of Him, and He gives wisdom without reproach!

:) I'm sure it's getting more and more exciting as He continues to uncovers the missing puzzles! Whatever that is, I am always confident you'll be able to give your bestest and trust Him to handle the rest. Just so you know..you are living purposefully already :D
