My birthday weekend

I had a most awesome 25th birthday. It's weird. I thought I'd have it rather quiet this year - wasn't expecting so much. But I think it was precious that the Lord by His grace, made it memorable for me this time round. I have a strong feeling that when I'm old and grey, I'd remember this year's birthday even more than my 21st one.

Anyway, a summary of my weekend.

Friday - my boyfriend (despite his stress) and I had a nice and quiet dinner in this quaint Western restaurant tucked in some dodgy-looking part of the town after work. Then we watched Inkheart at Perangin Mall.

Saturday - visited the Penang War Museum at Batu Maung in the afternoon. Superb experience. I'd recommend this to anyone who is able to hike and climb ladders!:) I enjoyed that for sure. Our CG had a little CNY pot-bless thingy in Ben's place in the evening, which was really fun! There was so much food leftover at then end! We watched TV, fellowshipped and played Uno games. They also surprised me with a birthday cake (which started melting once I had blown out the candles - coz it's made of ice-cream). Appreciated that so much.

OK, I fell for my bf's tricks and was pretty co-operative, so I didn't suspect a thing! He's actually a pretty good actor, I must say. You should have seen his face, all regretful, sorrowful and lined with guilt... "Sorry, I've been so stressed out and busy with my work, that I wasn't able to give you a better celebration." Ish. I actually felt sorry for him.

Sigh. Grrrrrrrrrr. Whatever lah. Haha. Anyone looking for actors or impersonators for dramas/skits - please go and look for my boyfriend.

Sunday - church and duties. Went to 'Mini Taman Negara' in the afternoon (Read my previous entries if you don't know why the inverted commas). Praise the Lord. No serpentine shocks. (Couldn't buy sulphur from any of the hardware shops we dropped by, so it was just as well!) Just a fresh batch of mosquito bites. Had dinner with my bf's family in town.

That's my weekend overall. I loved it.

The serious stuff begin next week. Tomorrow, I'd better get to drafting out my report!
