Three Days Past It...

One thing I particularly enjoy doing as a girlfriend...

...is coming up with collectible momentos for my boyfriend once a month - just to tell him how special he is to me. These usually consist of handmade/drawn cards, something for his Cube at work, scrapbooking, a handwritten letter, a picture, a care-parcel for a stressed-out soul (hehe) or some souvenir of a precious moment spent together in the past month... etc.

(I know... some prefer to cook or bake. I'll try more of that when I have a bigger kitchen and an oven. And more time. *thumbs up to the hols* )

I also see these momentos as markers of God's mercy and faithfulness in our relationship, no matter how tough or discouraging it may get at times. Therefore, I am always glad and thankful when it is time to create yet another one. I'd usually get them done by the 15th of each month ~ coz it is then, we would sorta celebrate the end of yet another month together (since we officially started out on this journey of our relationship on a 15th...).

I love it that Ben is always so encouraging and appreciative of whatever I come up with... even if it's simple, corny or if it looks lopsided and awkward. LOL. Such gracious acceptance... :P

Anyway...

The 15th of this month was 3-4 days ago... Alas, I was too busy rushing assignments and meeting datelines, that my mind couldn't conjure up any fresh idea...nor did I have the time to even write out my heart... Felt a little bad. But of course, something else happened on the 15th, that made it pretty meaningful anyway ~ Ben's dad and mum gave their lives to the Lord.

Since I'm now done with the research paper and we will be going out for a lunch-date tomorrow, I will FINALLY be able to 'redeem' myself! :D

One thing I would really like to thank God for this month, with respect to our relationship, is the strength to pull through Oct-Nov together, even when we've got our own share of trials and uncertainties to face... It could only be because of the joys and blessings God still provided us to enjoy together, regardless. As for myself, I am also very thankful that God teaches me new lessons on loving him, day by day - and helps me be faithful.

Praise God.
