Yups, it's again my favourite day of the week! :) Gotta quickly put up a blog post, before I start cleaning my house!
I just came home from school. We had our first music practice after lunch today for the 22.9.09 presentation. Although we are just warming up to the song and the different vocal-parts we are going to sing (the 4 of us), it has been great fun and honestly, I wouldn't mind doing things like that every day!:P Everytime we have stuff like that to do - song arrangements, writing out vocal parts, choir co-ordination, band co-ordination, song-writing etc... it gets me really alive - even though it's sometimes hard work. And the more tricky and challenging it gets, the more exhilarated I feel. I must say though that I long for more training in certain areas that I am not so familiar with - coz I don't like being one-sided... I'm praying the God would bring me more good si-fu's and definitely the provisions to learn, if needed. Now that I'm starting to teach, it is even more important that I upgrade my skills! :P Found myself stagnating a little since I came to Penang from Dublin in 2006, due to heavy workloads and the clinical training of med school... but I am very convicted that I should start making time again to improve myself, so that I can serve God more.
Having said that, I will be attending a song-writing workshop tomorrow. The very first workshop I'm attending in um... these past 3 years... :P Hehe... and I am excited.
My CG mates will be glad that I'm finally taking up this subject again, after I've dropped it for a long, long time due to many reasons. @_@ They've been praying for me too. Thanks people!
Went shopping for a toilet pump this afternoon, after practice was over... and bumped into Terri (a seminary-mate) with a group of her friends enjoying green-tea ice-cream... Of course, she introduced me to her friends... and then I couldn't believe my ears when one of them suddenly asked, "So, where are you from.... you don't look local..."
I was stumped...then of course the mischievous bit in my prompted me to say, "Why don't you guess...."
The group of ladies stood around assessing me (I'm honest when I say that I felt like a fish in an aquarium surrounded by many pairs of peering eyes...). Then the guessing game started...
"Singapore!"
"No, you don't look Singaporean... I'll say that you look like you are from Vietnam!" *gasps* I laughed...
"Yeah, somewhere north... Thai..." I laughed even louder...
I was almost holding my breath. Luckily, nobody mentioned China :P Haha!!! They were so lovably gung-ho... I felt so awkward.
They were surprised when I told them that I'm from KL.
