Weekend updates...

A quick update before I get down to tackling my massive pile of assignments... *Feels a little stressed all of a sudden*

Watched Transformers on Friday night. Having really enjoyed the first movie, I was so looking forward to seeing the second one. Ben and I ate at 600CC before that. I must simply promote the dish I ordered, because it was so tantalizingly good. Dan Dan Chicken Noodle. Maybe it's just me... but please, do try it out if you get the chance - and tell me what you think. Movie was good, despite a few parts which we felt could have been done better. I am still in love with Bumble-bee, as much as I was when I watched the last Transformer's movie with Cyn at Kuantan Parade. He is so cute!

Saturday was a flurry of activities, including the last session of MPC at church. Aunty Connie baked us a chocolate cake to celebrate - and my oh my.... This is by far the best chocolate cake I've had so far. She used fresh cream in her cake, and as a result, the cake had an irresistable creamy chocolate taste in it. Melts in the mouth too. Incredible! (I regret to say here that Ben and I were a little greedy, and had more than one piece each:P It wasn't just our bad... Aunty Connie waved the cakes in our faces gleefully and asked, "You want some more?!?" and we were game! It was dreadfully hard to say no, when we had 'tasted and seen' the yummy-ness of the cake!)

Anyway, before I start myself a chocolate cake craving, the MPC (Marriage Preparation Course) has been really great. To attend this course was actually something Ben decided to do after our anniversary this year. Sort of his surprise-gift to me, as well as a step towards a stronger and more committed 'us'. :) I truly enjoyed and appreciated it. Thank you, dear!

I would recommend it to all couples who are looking to marriage in the future. It has really strengthened our relationship in many ways, especially in the areas of communication, working on conflicts, planning for the future and understanding one another. Sometimes a couple doesn't really sit down and talk about all these things so easily taken for granted. No boundaries/ commitments/ goals are set, and many unnecessary conflicts come up in the long run. Often, they are too focussed on planning for the wedding. While the wedding is an important ceremony before the Lord, as well as our family and friends, it is but the beginning of a long journey - and if the couple is not prepared to deal with the many problems that crop up especially in the earlier parts of the marriage, there will be alot of stress and strain! And not to mention pain! The MPC not only provides amazing guidance and reminders on what marriage is supposed to be - especially what God intends for it. It also gave Ben and I great opportunities to sit down properly (during class) and discuss the various essential issues without other distractions of life. It has helped us to cut one another some slack and not sweat the small stuff, even in our courtship now.

Christians and non-Christians are welcome to attend the course.

We had CG/Bible-study that night. We finally are done with 'The Father Heart of God'. Yaaay! We will be going into SHAPE next! *Excited* It was also very awesome to worship the Lord together with our CG members.

Sunday was a fast-food day. I had breakfast with Ben and Kok Loon at... Mcd's on Greenlane. Then after church, our usual lunch group happened to crave Mcd's - so Mell, Louise, Wei Nin, Sau Chan, Kok Loon, Ben and myself ate lunch at Mcd's at Sunrise-Tower. In the evening, Ben's parents were craving for KFC @_@ ~ so we ate at KFC, 7 of us - Parents, Ben, James, 2 favourite aunties and me. Hehe... I was so glad that we were able to have a short walk in Sunshine Square Mall (even if it was for groceries), coz after all that weekend eating, I was starting to feel a little fat. :S

That's my weekend. Busy week ahead. I'm going to Ipoh twice this week.
