Happy April's Fool Day, folks!:) ~ Actually I don't really know the significance of this day... apart from having played naughty pranks on people when I was a kid in school uniform. Hmm...basically being annoying.
A year ago, I spent AFD clerking patients in the surgical wards of PGH, attending a symposium on GI Bleeds at college, and having dinner with a special somebody to celebrate his first paycheck (after he had moved into his new company).
He was just a regular guy friend back then. although I did find him special in many ways. (And vice versa). One of the many guy friends I had (most of my friends were guys) - from church.
We've never really spoken to one another, til' our mutual friends (Lucas and Esther) got us together in a dinner meet one day. At my own place somemore. Btw, I ought to mention here that Esther was my housemate... and no, they didn't plan for anything to happen. We didn't plan for anything to happen. It was just one of those Esther-cooks-and-invites-guests-over-for-dinner sort of thing. He and Han (a close brother-in-Christ) were the only 2 guests we had that evening. I don't know what made him come, considering he would be quite left-out - since the rest of us were classmates. He didn't know why he accepted the last minute dinner invitation either.
I was my usual geeky self. Gobbled up the ice-cream after dinner with no reserves, and guffawed with every bit of unlady-likeness if you like. The big HAHAHA kind of thing. (What to do! I was in my own kitchen/dining room ok!) Sorry if you can't imagine me guffawing... But yes, there are times when I wish I were a little gentler, you know.
Anyway we became friends.
Now, guess it's different, altogether :)
Can't believe it.. A year has gone past in a blink of an eye!
Today, I spent AFD working. Later, it would be dinner for the both of us (if he makes it from work in time for that)... then we've got to head over for choir practice at church.
