A few random pics of my weekend...
Cheng-beng celebration was going on full swing in Penang... Cemeteries and crematorium niches, contrary to their usual pristine stillness, were swamped with Chinese people...
And this is a cute baby durian that fell from the tree... Aww... I, being a city-girl, for one thing, have never seen a durians this choo-bee before! The only durians I've seen are those they longgok in one big heap in the durian stalls/night market emitting a yummy, ripe smell... ready for consumption!:P See la. So sua ku. (Btw, I don't know how people can say that durians stink! LOL! I think they are one of the nicest smelling fruits in the world!:D )
It was so cute that I couldn't resist taking some-more photos of it...there were a few other tinier ones too (see 2 o'clock corner of picture)....Was delighted! ~ Purposely left one in Ben's car as a decorative item (yeah, I'm weird man!)
The hottest Sunday ever... When it was time for us to go to Mini Taman Negara, I nearly balked at the idea of it (ok, couldn't help it - I was oozing oil and grease.. Haha)...But it wasn't so bad after all lah. I successfully accomplished my cheerleading role this week - although it is seriously nothing compared to the amount of work that goes into gardening, unclogging drains, raking the ground, watering the split-level garden and fixing whatever-goes-wrong in the house. How dare I even complain? (I truly admire Ben's dedication, no kidding.)
Went out on Monday...
I finally went to Salvation Bookshop on Saturday and used my RM60 gift voucher *Grin* Sapu-ed a whole pile of good books (praise the Lord for stretching the money! Couldn't believe how many books I ended up with! ~ and to WAM, thank you for the vouchers! Hehe...) Two books I'm currently reading... Broken Altars by Susan Tang... and Rules of Church Work by Dag Heward-Mills. So far, I've been pretty challenged and encouraged. Spent Monday reading, writing and reading again... other than running some little errands, window-shopping in the mall and going to the gym. (My quads and hamstrings are a little sore and aching now...but it's the good kind of ache I guess...)
