Penang War Museum
This is where I spent Saturday afternoon... the Penang War Museum at Batu Maung...
Climbing through the narrow tunnels...on all fours... Now, I wish I wore long pants, just for that!
...and dark passageways... (the walls were 4 inches thick), and they used to pile physically disabled people into these places, in times of emergency. This one led to the ammunition store-room I think.
So much for my claustrophobia...

Climbing out of one of the escape routes, whereby you have to ascend 30-feet of ladder rungs...
That was scary...
This looked like something from the scenes of Lord of The Rings...

A siren, which you have to manually work by turning the handle...

Those old latrines. Dunno how people managed to get poop into the bucket (behind the wall I was sitting on) back then. Our guess is that you just sit on the edge of the wall...and then the rest, I'll leave to your imagination.

1) I don't think I'll survive War Museum..the enclosed areas are far too narrow for me to overcome my claustrophobia.. :-S And the ladder! Eekkkk *faint*
