Thursday

Went out with a close friend and sister-in-Christ, Rachel, for dinner after work. We ate at Manhattan's Fish Market, at Gurney Plaza. I must say that I am impressed with the place, after they gave it a face-lift. My favourite fast-food joint (A&W) is back!:)

Anyway, ok... I digressed a little. About dinner... The both of us were super glad that we didn't have any other appointments for the evening, as we've been trying to meet up for ages. Dahlah, we are from different churches, then both have our various personal commitments, etc - We've been post-poning our meet-ups again and again, bigtime.

Had a good time catching up - sharing 'bout God's faithfulness in our lives and laughing at how things turned out for the both of us since we last saw one another. (Um... about one year ago?) Many things happened in between. I entered courtship. Sat for my final exams, graduated and Started working with the church. God gave me wonderful new friends in Penang - even while I started losing touch with many of my friends from college.. Rachel entered courtship too, and sat for her LRCM Fellowship exams.

Funny how we've not seen one another for such a long time - but there was no awkwardness... In fact, it felt as if it was only just yesterday we saw one another. I guess it's because we have been keeping one another in prayer through the endeavours we've been through in the past few months, even when we didn't get to meet up. That's what kept us close - our simple yet beautiful sisterly bond in the Lord. And the heart we share for Him. Love you, Rach!

...Well, that was my Thursday. A great one, despite some tears.

Oh, to another wonderful sister-in-Christ, 小猪 - (don't ask me why she has such a unique name) - free to meet up for a meal some time next week?:P
